This waterfront cottage with a beautiful lake, trees and gardens has all the amenities of home. Situated on ever popular Lake Couchiching, this traditional cottage puts you right in the heart of great golf country. You can play a round of golf at one of the many nearby courses, and then sit back and relax with a refreshing beverage as you take in the scenery and watch the sunsets from the deck or the long dock. The cottage is located in a fairly private bay near all amenities, large park with trails and a kid's water park just minutes away. At the shoreline, there are lots of trees for privacy and shade to relax, with shallow water entry that has a hard sand bottom with stones that is typical of the lake (watershoes are recommended). The bottom slopes very gently for some ways out into the bay. Inside the cottage, you will find a King sized bed in the master bedroom with a double/single combo bunk in the other. Enjoy casual meals in the living room, or at the dining room table, or best of all, entertain outdoors on the deck overlooking the lake as the sun sets across the bay. If you want to get away from the city but realize that you like to have modern amenities close at hand with a reasonable commute from the city, then this is your cottage of choice.
PREVIOUS RENTERS' COMMENTS: This is truly a beautiful spot and we really enjoyed ourselves...area is great, neighbours are great! Thank you!
This was a relaxing beautiful experience for the whole family. Many thanks for allowing us to rent your cottage for 2 weeks. We had a lovely time and hope to be back next year.
You have a lovely and restful place to de-stress from the rigours of civilization! Thanks for sharing it with us for this week. Cath says to call if you ever think of selling!
We have been looking forward to this vacation since January 2012 and it was everything we were hoping for and more. Your cottage is lovely, the view is fantastic, the swimming was enjoyable, the weather was beautiful and all the lovely trees that provided lots of shade were welcomed. We also enjoyed the 7 fantastic sunsets and watching the wildlife swim by. We took advantage of the park's walking trails and learned a little history along the way eg. the ice industry and the fish fence at Atherley Narrows. Our week here was superb and we look forward to coming back next year.
