Welcome to this gorgeous and spacious year-round 3 bedroom cottage on one acre of land overlooking peaceful Fox Lake. The owners just recently purchased this newly built Viceroy and being new to cottage life they immediately embraced the joy and serenity of being on the lake where the entire family, from the children to the grandparents, could spend quality time together in and around the property.
From the moment you walk in, it is obvious the owners have a great sense of style, with each and every room displaying simple, yet exquisite attention to detail. This beautiful, 1,500 sq. ft. cottage boasts wonderful architectural features such as an open concept kitchen/dining/living area with pine cathedral ceilings complimented with dark hardwood floors and striking dark wood beams and accent lighting over the kitchen island and dining table.
The living room area’s main attraction is a wall of floor to ceiling lake facing windows with a perfectly situated woodstove to enhance the ambiance while relaxing in the comfortable furnishings.
The fully equipped kitchen with a kitchen island has plenty of cupboards and counter space. With modern stainless steel appliances, a gas stove and a double apron sink, you will feel pampered while preparing and making meals. Dine inside or enjoy barbequing and dining while relaxing on the expansive walk-out deck with tree-top views of the lake.
Just off of the living area is the tastefully decorated master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and sliding glass doors leading out to the deck, the perfect spot to start your mornings of with a cup of coffee or tea. Two more bedrooms, and a 5-piece bathroom with brand new laundry equipment are located at the opposite end of the cottage.
As you head out into the great outdoors and down to the lake and 100 feet of waterfront, lounge and bask in the sun on the dock or relax in the partially shaded areas of the lakeside deck. The water is 7-8 feet deep at the end of the dock, ideal for refreshing dips for the older kids, and there is shallow entry at the shoreline to the left side of the lakeside deck where the younger ones can safely splash and play.
With 3 kayaks and a canoe at your disposal, definitely take a paddle trip and explore the lake and area. For a change of pace, take a day trip into the historic town of Hunstville and for longer adventures, head to Arrowhead Park or Algonquin Park. But be sure to return for the best time of day, on the dock around 7 or 8 in the evening when the whole lake seems to go silent and plan for another glorious day of cottage life!
