Welcome to this fantastic collection of two cottages and a cabin nestled in the woods on beautiful and coveted Lake of Bays. The classic spacious main cottage along with its neighbouring small cottage and cabin will give you the true Muskoka family experience.
As you enter the main cottage through the mudroom, you pass by a small bedroom, and then walk into the kitchen where there is ample room for multiple chefs to enjoy the L-shaped countertop set up with large windows looking out to the well treed property. There is a pass through window for serving snacks in the Muskoka room, along with a unique walk-in refrigerator to store your week's supply of holiday meals! The main cottage has warm wood décor and comfortable furnishings throughout which compliment the rich pine walls, ceilings and hardwood flooring. The heart of this retreat is the centralized large living/dining area that beckons for family gatherings around the floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Windows lining this great room lend to spectacular views of the lake morning, noon and night.
A door from the Great Room exits into a spacious 16 by 16 foot screened-in Muskoka room with its cheerful white wicker furniture, great lake views and warm lake breezes.
At the other end of the building are two large bedrooms. The master with a queen sized bed, views of the lake and an ensuite two-piece bathroom. The second bedroom holds a double and a single bed, an office area with views of the woodlands, and has a nearby four-piece bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub.
A smaller self-contained four bedroom cottage on the property has a large living area at the entrance, overlooking the lake and woodlands. The kitchenette has a classic old fashioned stove that contains an oven, sink and refrigerator in the same unit. You will find two of the bedrooms off of the kitchen area. The other two bedrooms are located at the end of the hall along with a four-piece bathroom and washer/dryer.
A third cabin-styled building houses two more bedrooms with a combination of queen, singles and bunks and a three-piece bathroom making it a great spot for the older kids to feel self-sufficient while still being a stone’s throw away from the main cottage.
Wooden steps lead down to the 400+ feet of waterfront where there is a large covered boat slip and a spacious dock for sunbathing that also extends far enough out for deep water swimming. The large shallow sandy beach area with hard-packed sand bottom is just to the side of the boat slip, and is perfect for the young kids to enjoy playing and splashing in the water as the parents relax on the dock nearby. For the more adventurous, spend some time on the water canoeing and kayaking. The sun hits the dock throughout late morning and all afternoon and closes the day with fabulous sunsets. If anyone should tire of all this great water playland, there are extensive woodlands surrounding the cottages for the children to explore or play a game of hide and seek, and a tennis court at the back of the property with a basketball net to round out a full day of fun in the sun!
Lake of Bays is known for its fabulous boating. With numerous marinas and public boat launches nearby, you could bring your own boat or rent a boat to enjoy all that the lake has to offer. You should definitely indulge in a boating day trip or two to the villages of Dorset, Dwight and Baysville. Needless to say, this cottage vacation property is sure to please the entire family, and you will want to return year after year!! It just doesn’t get much better!
