Take a step back in time to a much simpler cottage life. This well-kept 3 bedroom cottage is situated on 1.8 acres of land, tucked into a quiet bay, with over 500 ft. of water frontage.
The cottage itself has a unique layout separating the living areas from the bedrooms allowing for more peaceful mornings and evenings for relaxing and sleeping.
The front of the cottage consists of an open concept kitchen, dining and living area with rich tongue-and-groove cedar walls, ceilings and floors. Cheerful furnishings surround the floor to ceiling stone fireplace in the center of the living and dining area with the kitchen tucked in slightly behind. A multitude of large windows wrap around this main area, lending to great views of the lake while looking out to the well treed property.
A covered walkway leads back to the 3 comfortably furnished bedrooms with the same warm cedar/pine walls, ceilings and floors.
A large covered porch area to the side of the cottage is a perfect spot to escape the heat of the day. From here, it is a short walk down to the dock where the shoreline is rocky with mixed vegetation, and the water is 5-8 feet deep at the end of the dock, great for diving. The south east exposure makes the dock the place to be for early morning coffees and sunrises and rolls out into all day sun for all day fun. Be sure to also enjoy quiet morning fishing expeditions, as the lake is known for small mouth bass, lake trout and pike. For exercise enthusiasts, the local country roads are perfect for long walks and runs.
Finally, take full advantage of boating from this property as you can tour “The Big Three” (Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau) and enjoy a day in Bala or Port Carling. The rich cottage history of vacationing on this famous lake is sure to please the entire family!
