Welcome to this stunning and cozy, newly renovated 1,700 sq. ft. two level, three bedroom cottage and Bunkie. The cottage is ideally located in a quiet bay on much sought-after Lake Muskoka and just minutes from the towns of Bracebridge and Gravenhurst.
The exterior is cheerfully painted soft pastel yellow with white trim and appears to be a quaint small country cottage complete with rocking chairs on the covered porch. But as you enter the cottage you will be surprised by the size and spaciousness of the open concept kitchen/dining/living area with a front and center breathe-taking view of the lake from the living room windows!
The combination of beautiful dark wood floors, white painted pine walls and cathedral beamed ceilings contrasted with stainless steel kitchen appliances and Ceasarstone counters creates a wonderful mix of modern with cottage classic.
The kitchen has plenty of counter space with some facing out to the back natural garden with a second separate area with a sink to the side and a large lake facing kitchen island. Needless to say it will be a joy preparing meals while taking in all the serene views. The gorgeous harvest dining room table, between the kitchen and the living room, comfortably seats the whole family while enjoying meals and fabulous views out to the lake. The living room is tastefully furnished and will be the place to gather after dinner on cooler evenings around the woodstove and marvel at the view and closeness to the water. Two bedrooms and a three-piece bathroom round out the main level.
The lower level has a large family room, a four-piece bathroom and a lake facing bedroom. From this bedroom you can actually hear the waves lapping against the shore!
The older kids will definitely want dibs on the Bunkie for sure. It’s a good sized room with a single/double bunk bed, sofa and chairs and a 40” TV. It is private and yet just a gentle slope away from the main cottage.
Both the upper level and the lower level have walk-outs to their own deck or stone patio and along with a covered porch at the entrance, there are plenty of spots to choose from to enjoy your morning coffee/tea or afternoon cold beverage.
With a canoe, kayak and a stand-up paddle board at your disposal take advantage of the quiet bay and enjoy being out on the water. Swimming is fantastic and fishing is also great on the lake so don’t forget to bring your rods and bait.
For avid boaters bring your own boat or rent a boat and explore the extensive network (known as "The Big Three") connecting Lake Muskoka to Lake Rosseau by the Indian River, and Lake Rosseau to Lake Joseph by the St Joseph River. Lake Muskoka has everything you could wish for in a lake, you can even boat to restaurants! The rich cottage history of vacationing on this famous lake is sure to please the whole family.
End your days with a BBQ dinner on the deck and as the sun sets gather around the fire bowl and be filled with wonder at the glorious colours of the sky when the sun is setting while being serenaded by the haunting call of the loons.
