Little Blue Cottage on Three Mile Lake
Welcome to this cozy 2 level, 3 bedroom, 800 sq. ft. cottage on peaceful Three Mile Lake. Newly renovated with beautiful wood laminate flooring, this 5 day/night vacation opportunity is an affordable option for a couple or small family to escape the city and relax in cottage country.
The upper level has a bright open living room/dining room/kitchen area, all facing out to the water with multiple windows allowing for wonderful open lake views for as far as the eye can see. On a clear night, the moonlight will dazzle and during glorious thunderstorms you will marvel as the lightening skips across the lake.
The owner’s children have contributed creatively to the two Art walls in the main living area. The Fishing Lure pieces are extra special as the lures belong to a famed fisherman – the owner’s grandfather – known for his great catches. Main floor of the cottage has 2 bunk bedrooms and a bathroom with a bedroom in the lower level and a second 2 pc bathroom.
The lower level has a bedroom, bathroom and a family room complete with a Smoothie Bar and a walk out to a screened-in Muskoka room overlooking the lake. What better place to start your mornings with a cup of coffee or smoothie in hand and end your evenings with a glass of wine.
A semi wrap-around deck to one side of the cottage steps down to a path leading to 360 feet of waterfrontage and a wonderful long dock where the water is 4-5 feet deep at the end, clean and clear, perfect for swimming.
With a south exposure and such a long dock, sun can be enjoyed all day and if you desire shade you can retreat to the covered deck. The deck, nicknamed the “Nook” by the owners, is a family favourite for sitting outside having meals in nice weather. Many card games and lively debates have occurred in this cozy space, rain or shine. All the furniture on the deck are recycled or found pieces.
Enjoy endless choices to while away your days. Early morning kayaking on a lake as smooth and un-rippled as glass, fishing off the dock, long walks up to the farmhouse and beyond, picking wildflowers for casual, country bouquets, climbing the 'mountain' behind the cottage and seeing deer, bird watching from the “Nook” (blue jays are especially prolific in the trees right next to the living room windows), running down the dock and jumping into the lake. So much to do, so little time!
