This lovely all-season cottage, with all the comforts of home, is nestled in a quiet arm of Lake Manitouwabing. The cottage sits back from the waterfront with a beautiful landscaped lawn in between. The expansive lawn gradually slopes down to the 90 ft. of waterfront and a large flat open lakeside area with plenty of room for family members to enjoy and relax in, with a choice of shaded or sunny seating. To the right side of the dock there is a small shallow entrance, great for the little ones to play and splash in while the adults look on and for the older kids and adults, the water at the end of the dock is over 5 ft. deep, perfect for jumping and cooling off in the refreshing waters. As it is at a narrows in the lake, boats slow down as they pass through making it quieter than being out on the larger open waters of the lake. With a canoe, kayak and paddleboat at your disposal, be sure to get out onto the water and paddle the hours away!
The interior of the cottage is bright and open with comfortable furnishings and wonderful décor accents of Europe throughout. With wrap around floor to ceiling windows in the extended living room you will never feel like you’re missing out on the great outdoors even in inclement weather. The bedrooms are all a good size, especially the master bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom and private walk out to the deck.
And the deck will most certainly be the favourite gathering spot for the family after a day down at the water! Once again, as at the lakeside, you can choose to bask in the sun on the front side of the deck or stay cool in the shade under a large umbrella on the side deck. The entire of the deck is glass railing allowing for unobstructed views of the waterfront.
As relaxing as it is at the cottage, there is so much to do in near-by Parry Sound. Within a 20 minute drive you have great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Parry Sound is the home of the 30,000 island scenic tour and the "Festival of the Sound" which features both classical and jazz music in the beautiful Charles Stockey concert hall. The area also features many golf courses, one being the award-winning Ridge at Manitou. If you choose to take a winter vacation at this property, snowmobiling on the trail system, snow shoeing or ice fishing will fill your days and once back at the cottage warm up near the woodstove and retreat to the living room and gas fireplace to watch a movie or two!
