NEWLY LISTED - JULY 2017
Longing to get away from the scorching heat of the city to lakeside peace and quiet but can’t manage to take a whole week off this summer? Then look no further! High season cottage rentals are usually for 7 days minimum, but here is a fabulous opportunity to escape for 4 nights with an early check-in on Monday and a late check-out on Friday, making the absolute most of your 5 days of much needed rest and relaxation. This also means you will be going in the opposite direction of cottage country traffic, both ways, avoiding the guessing game of leaving early or staying late so as not to be bumper to bumper on your commute!
The Caribbean comes to Halliburton! Known for its turquoise water on a sunny day, this pristine crystal clear lake, hence the name, beckons to be enjoyed and explored. Along with the limestone rock, you will feel transported to a Caribbean island shore surrounded by all the magnificent natural elements of northern Ontario cottage country.
Welcome to this beautiful solid wood pine 900 sq. ft. 3 bedroom cottage on tranquil Clear Lake. The cottage sits slightly elevated from the lake with a gently sloping natural walking path to 100 feet of mixed sand and rock waterfront shoreline.
The interior of the cottage is warm and welcoming with a cozy kitchen and dining area on your entrance leading into a lake facing living room complete with vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and a walk out to the deck.
The 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms are off to the side of the main living area with a 3-piece bathroom off of the kitchen. The master bedroom has a gorgeous 4-piece ensuite bathroom with a tub and views out to the lake.
Start your mornings off with coffee/tea on the deck and marvel at the fascinating humming birds constantly around the feeder while taking in tree top views of the lake.
The much sought after screened-in Haliburton room can be accessed from the master bedroom and the deck and is the ideal place to settle into for shaded relaxing afternoons with a favourite novel or on inclement days, still feeling one with nature.
Needless to say, the waterfront is the best part of the property to spend most of your day, with sun from noon right until sunset. Being on a smaller lake makes for less boat/people traffic therefore making for a quieter more relaxing experience. Explore the calm lake by canoe or paddleboat, both provided for your stay. For the more adventurous, directly across the lake from the cottage is a rock face, 20 feet high, that is a popular spot for climbing and jumping off of.
Having a western exposure, get ready for night after night of spectacular sunsets while making smores at the waterfront fire pit being serenated by the haunting call of the loons! Life is good…
