This newly built 3500 sq. ft. luxurious lake front cottage sits perched on the pristine waters of much sought-after Kawagama Lake. Nestled on one acre of treed land, you will arrive and instantly be drawn into this relaxing oasis on the water and know you are a far (and thankful!) cry from the hectic pace of the city.
The interior of the cottage is meticulously maintained with every attention to detail being paid. Settle into cottage life with all the comforts of home (and more!). The open concept kitchen, living, dining room with cathedral ceilings and sun filled natural light from an abundance of large windows, is the ideal location for all family gatherings. Whether lounging around on the comfortable furniture in front of the stone gas fireplace, preparing meals or dining, the beautiful lake views are always with you. The screened-in Muskoka room is the perfect room to retreat to for dessert and after dinner drinks while enjoying views of the lake and breezy crosswinds on warm summer nights.
The upper level has 3 large bedrooms, one tucked into the shaded driveway side lending to cooler night’s sleep, one sharing both treed and lake views and the master bedroom faces the lake through the unique layout of large windows looking out to a wall of larger windows gracing the loft sitting room. From either the master bedroom or the loft chaise lounges, you feel like you are in a different world with stunning tree top views of the lake.
The lower level has 2 more bedrooms and a family entertainment room complete with a wet bar and home theatre surround sound system and satellite TV. This same great audio set up can also be enjoyed on the main level and in the “man cave”.
The “man cave” was fondly nick-named by family members for obvious reason, but it is a great room to escape to for anyone. Located below the 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom bunkie, this transformed garage with a full screen walk-out to the main deck has a kitchenette, dining table, entertainment set up and the ubiquitous man cave lazy-boy chair.
Enjoy shaded dining on the large cottage deck and/or relaxing on the comfortable lounge chairs or head on down to the expansive dock and 100 ft. of waterfront for endless hours of fun in the sun. There is a shallow sand area for small kids to splash and play in all day long, with entry right off of the long dock to the right, while the bigger kids can show off their diving skills from the dock’s diving board into 10 ft. of crystal clear and refreshing water.
There is nothing like waking up and enjoying your coffee on the dock while listening to the sound of loons overlooking the serene and magical stillness of the mist over the lake. The water is so crystal clear and clean you can fish right off the dock and watch the loons swim by. The lake if one of the cleanest, and feeds the rest of the Muskoka Lakes. You can also take the canoe, kayak or paddle boat on a tour of the lake and small islands or just kick back and relax on the beautiful deck furniture with a dock fridge for all your beverages and snacks.
For a quick and easy day trip experience the beautiful and historic town of Dorset. It sits on the shores of Lake of Bays and has a wonderful waterfront restaurant, ice cream parlours, cafes, little shops along with a large grocery store, an LCBO and a park. You need not go anywhere else for all your groceries and beverages. For an unimaginable 360 degree view of The Lake of Bays, you can climb the famous Dorset Lookout Tower which stands at 465 feet. There is also the enchanting Dorset Historic Museum and a Library offering yoga classes, kids craft sessions and fun-filled daily camps. Dorset also has a cozy pottery barn and cafe called Chetolah offering many handmade gifts and treats, and pottery classes for children.
