'A SLICE OF GEORGIAN BAY/LAKE HURON PARADISE'
Rating - 5 Stars out of 5 Stars

I think I am beginning to understand the adage 'Heaven on Earth'!

My family and I had the opportunity to stay at one of the most beautiful places in Tobermory; Cottage #1173. We were not disappointed!

We arrived late at night, in a torrential downpour. Regardless, the moment we opened the door, whatever worries we had about life, the drive, the stay, all melted away walking through the threshold. So much space! In my humble opinion, it seemed to me like the builder of this cottage 'www.mcnairconstruction.ca' thought of everything and took meticulous care in constructing such a harmonious abode to rest your weary bones.

We woke up the next morning, after the rain had subsided and 'WHOA!', the views of the water, the surrounding landscape of forested islands blurring in the haze of summer and the lighthouse across from the property, where in the early morning dawn, you'll see folks doing yoga. The slow movement of kayakers idling by to see the shipwrecks while simultaneously waving their hello's to you. Standing on the expansive balconies of the property, where rays of sunlight are hitting you from all angles, melting whatever worry you had prior to arriving. Just a wonderful shot of 'bliss' for the soul.

From the balcony, I looked around and marveled at the beauty of the space of my temporary abode. As much as you can see looking out at the water, I never felt like I was in town; I felt like I was in a forest. I admired the tapestry of all types of blooming summer flowers, the glowing wisteria twisting it's way on the bridge beams leading to the upper level and the fragrant smells of a Bruce Peninsula summer wafting from every angle.

As mentioned in the add, all the amenities listed are there; roaring fireplace if needed while you're watch TV. A full modern kitchen to cook your meals. Cozy rooms for all to have sweet dreams in. A pool table to pass the time. Stylized bathrooms at every turn. Oh and don't forget the shower in the master bedroom! If I could post a 'gif' of a person's eyes rolling to the back of their heads in sheer delight as water sprays from a multitude of angles, I would! Because the shower's that good! It also includes a fire pit to reminisce of your days spent. A hot tub outside, for a full immersive spa day. There are also some private nooks for someone to watch the world go by.

The Cottage is impeccably clean and the decor in each room is well thought of; from a bunk bed room for the children to the master suite, where touches of the owners aesthetic of metal, wood and the beach make it much more cozy and personal.

I/WE, LOVED IT HERE. We will return.

If you want peace and quiet in a serene setting---------> COME ONE, COME ALL! You've made it HOME!

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE OWNERS! It was a small moment in time that I will never forget; You won't either if you have the chance to stay! Oh yeah, we're definitely coming back!

Sincerely,

Paul Beaudry

AMAZING COTTAGE - BREATHTAKING VIEWS!!
Rating – 5 Stars out of 5 Stars

My family has rented the “Pub in the Tub” cottage three times. There is no better view than the view from these decks and from that wonderful wall of windows looking out on the water. The cottage is bright, welcoming and spacious. Although it's only a short walk from Tobermory, it's set back enough from the road that it feels very private. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The kitchen has lots of room for cooking and serving. It's nice to have large recreation rooms on both floors so that the family doesn't have to feel like they are on top of each other. We always use the hot tub too. We will be back! Thank you!

DREAM COTTAGE YOU WISH YOU COULD AFFORD TO OWN

The 'Pub on the Tub' in Tobermory is that dream cottage you wish you could afford to own. Perfect location, perfect views, perfect home. Thank you, April, for assisting with the rental, easy peasy. Thank you, homeowners, for sharing this gem. Someone designed a gorgeous, well thought out, Eutopia. Paying extra for the hot tub was worth every penny even in 2° weather, I have pics of the kids "tubbing" with snowballs in their hands. The pool table was great fun. Our 8 year old turned out to be a pool shark, who knew? The nearby trails are gorgeous, we had Singing Sands entirely to ourselves. Our November visit was not too late in the year to enjoy the cottage. We'll definitely be back.
