Welcome to this fabulous small family vacation getaway on one of the much sought after “Big Three” Muskoka Lakes. Tucked into a half acre of well-treed land, this wonderful 800 sq. ft. 2 bedroom cottage and bunkie, sits slightly elevated overlooking ever popular Lake Muskoka!
Recently and completely renovated, the interior of the cottage is cozy and impeccably maintained while keeping its rustic nature for those who love the romance of classic Muskoka style cottages. With gorgeous pine vaulted ceilings in the dining room and kitchen, refurbished wood floors, whitewashed pine walls and comfortable furnishings throughout, you will immediately fall in love with your surroundings and completely forget about the hustle and bustle of the city life you left behind.
As you enter from the back of the cottage, you will step into the open concept kitchen/dining/sitting room, all facing out to the lake with beautiful tree-top views from an abundance of large picture windows running along 2 sides of the cottage. The living room sits slightly off of this area with the same peaceful lake views and direct walk-out to the wrap-around deck. This inviting living space is the perfect family gathering area for prepping meals, dining and relaxing with a late night movie.
The master bedroom is just off of the kitchen with a unique window out to the living room, framing its lake views and the second bedroom is located in the shaded back of the cottage, lending to a great night's sleep. The Bunkie is just a stone's throw away from the cottage providing ideal private sleeping quarters with your own private deck.
Head down to the waterfront and 140 feet of classic Muskoka rock and pine shoreline and stretch out on the spacious dock, relaxing in the sunshine while taking in stunning long views across the lake. With 2 kayaks at your disposal, be sure to get out on the water for a leisurely paddle, especially in the morning when the water is at its calmest.
Relaxing on the lake is rejuvenating, but the true thrill comes when venturing out into the lake. For avid boaters, bring your own boat or rent a boat and explore the extensive network (known as "The Big Three") connecting Lake Muskoka to Lake Rosseau by the Indian River, and Lake Rosseau to Lake Joseph by the Joseph River.
For day trips, there is so much to do in the area! The quaint village of Bala is a quick 10 minute drive away with scenic falls and about 20 minutes to the larger cottage country town of Gravenhurst with Muskoka Steamship tours from the wharf. The charming town of Port Carling is about a 25 minute drive away and with a myriad of specialty shops in all three locations, you can spend endless hours looking for unique items to take home as souvenirs. For the little ones, why not venture out to Santa’s Village in Bracebridge for a change of pace and for golf enthusiasts there is a ClubLink course, The Lake Joseph Club, less than a 40 minute drive away.
When all is said and done after a day of exploring either away from the cottage or out on the water, head back to your home away from home and enjoy cottage life at its best with a BBQ dinner and your favourite beverage in hand. The rich cottage history of vacationing on this famous lake is sure to please the whole family!
