The Muskoka room, with wonderful tree-top views out to the river, runs the length of the cottage and will be the favorite place for the family to dine and relax, rain or shine, feeling one with nature.

Head down to the lakeside deck in the morning, taking in the serene views, while sipping your coffee. The water is deep off of the dock, perfect for jumping into the refreshing water on hot sunny days, and there is a sandy beach for making sand castles. If you enjoy fishing you won’t have far to go because you can fish right from the dock. Be sure to get out on the water with the canoe or paddleboat at your disposal as there is nothing like a paddle down a lazy river! (additional kayaks and a paddle board are available for a small fee)

The beauty of being at this part of the river is that you are minutes away from the quaint town of Port Sydney where there is a popular local beach and you are within 15-20 minutes of either Huntsville or Bracebridge making this central location ideal for families with young children and teenagers.

No cottage day is complete though without gathering around your own cottage fire pit after a BBQ, watching the sunsets and planning for the next day’s adventures!
