Enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful cottage located on 2.5 acres of land nestled in lush privacy, overlooking the pristine waters of Lake Manitouwabing. The 2,500 sq. ft., 5 bedroom cottage was a labour of love as the owner’s continually added and upgraded the interior alongside and hand in hand with the builder’s construction.

The open concept living, dining and kitchen area, with an abundance of windows, is bright and spacious with pine cathedral ceilings in the main living area and casual, comfortable furniture. The kitchen is strikingly designed with ceramic floors, new white cabinetry, gorgeous tile back splash and mainly modern stainless steel appliances. Off to the side of the dining and kitchen area is an inviting Muskoka room, ideal for after dinner beverages and late night movies.
Three bedrooms and a bathroom are located on the main level and two more bedrooms and a bathroom are located on the loft style second level. The lakeside master bedroom on the main level has a direct walk-out to the deck while the upper bedrooms have thoughtfully been designed with French doors opening up to Juliette balconies creating a great cross-breeze when open and the ceiling fans are on.

What seems most obvious when looking around, both inside and outside of the cottage, is that the property is a small children’s haven and playground. It might be hard getting them out of the corner back “bunk” bedroom, delightfully decorated to captivate their fancy with bright colours, books and games if it were not for the great outdoors calling for them to play in the sand box and bounce around in the screened trampoline. The gated access on the deck was added for the safety of the little ones and along the waterfront there is a section next to the dock with a shallow entry ideal for them to splash and play for hours on end.

The depth at the end of the dock is between 8-10 feet, great for shallow diving and refreshing swimming. With a northeast exposure and an extended dock, there is sun on the dock all day long for those who just want relax and soak up the rays. For the more adventurous take the canoe or rowboat out onto the water and explore the lake. Manitouwabing is a renowned lake for fishing, forr fish enthusiasts, bring your bait and rods and catch small bass, pike or pickerel.

For golfers, this cottage is close to the Ridge at Manitou Golf Course (also accessible by boat) with 3 other golf courses within a short driving distance.

As pleasant exhaustion sets in and the day unwinds after a BBQ dinner, gather round the well laid out fire pit for a campfire sing-a-long while roasting marshmallows and making s’mores!
