Description:

In the quaint town of Dunchurch, nestled in a beautifully wooded setting on a glorious Whitestone Lake, you will find your next family getaway!  Whitestone Lake is an awe-inspiring lake made up of over 120 kilometers of shoreline with plenty to discover and enjoy.  For the water enthusiasts, this spring-fed lake offers clean and clear water in a beautiful setting.

This stunning recently built 4,000 sq.ft. Lakehouse comes with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and ample space to enjoy quality time with your loved ones no matter the season. As you enter the timeless interior of the home, you are instantly greeted with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake. The airy communal spaces make engaging with your loved ones easy. The immaculate and expansive kitchen opens to the grand living room with its vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. Mirroring the upper level, the lower level features an expansive games room with ping pong and foosball tables. You can also enjoy the comforts of a home theater when the weather keeps you indoors with the ultimate viewing experience. Each of the 5 bedrooms have been designed with relaxation in mind, a comfy queen bed, the option for black out blinds in each room with 2 primary bedrooms and ensuites on both levels. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness can be felt from the moment you drive up to the property.

If you’re coming with babies or toddlers, pack light.  A Pack N’ Play with a bassinet insert, a highchair, baby bath, and a range of baby and toddler dishes and utensils are available for your stay.

The piece de résistance is the magnificent Muskoka room opening to both the inside and outside- providing a space to enjoy modern creature comforts like TV, movies but also an area to enjoy family meals. As you exit the Muskoka room and walk outside, you will find the stone patio with BBQ area and large outdoor dining table making al fresco meals easy while the kids play in the sand pit or on the Ninja line across the yard. With 7 acres to explore, take the gradual path down to the water's edge. With morning to mid-afternoon sun, take a dip into the clear refreshing lake. Explore the narrows and the bay around the cottage with the paddle boards or canoe at your disposal. When the stars begin to light up the night sky, enjoy relaxing up by the fire pit with all your nearest and dearest under the twinkling lights.

5-minute drive from the cottage will take you to the town of Dunchurch, a quintessential small cottage country town, with a great public library, local community center, children’s playground and a sandy public beach where the kids of all ages can enjoy free daily certified swimming lessons offered by the Municipality of Whitestone . Dunchurch offers a local general store, LCBO, restaurants, ice cream shop and a nursing station, all very conveniently located 5 minutes away from the cottage.  For those “have to complete” tasks, local garbage disposal is also close by, within 10 minutes from the cottage.  “”

The area also offers plenty of farmers markets and golf courses.  The Ridge at Manitou Gold Club, 15 minutes away, is a place of natural beauty where holes meander through the woody landscape.  18th hole offers stunning views of the Manitouwabing lake.  The gorgeous clubhouse restaurant is open at all times through the day.  Ahmic Lake is a nine-hole golf course on a picturesque Ahmic Lake about 20 minutes away.

For fishing enthusiasts, Whitestone Lake contains a variety of fish species.  The most common species in the lake are walleye, yellow pickerel, smallmouth bass, pike, crappie and panfish.  There are plenty of hotspots to go around and the lake is never crowded.

The Whitestone Lake recreational hiking trail makes a 2.9 km loop through a diverse mixed forest with towering hemlock and vibrant oak trees.  With a steep climb to the beautiful lookout, don’t forget to pack sturdy footwear.  It is recommended to allow 2-3 hours to complete the loop.  The trail is located within 10-minute drive from the cottage.

For a change of pace, take a short-day trip to the town of Parry Sound, just a 30 minute drive away, where you will find quaint shops, bookstores, all shopping amenities, great restaurants and take-out options. Parry Sound is the home of the 30,000 Island Queen Cruise scenic tour and the "Festival of the Sound" (late July to mid-August) which features both classical and jazz music in the beautiful Charles Stockey concert hall.  45-minute drive will take you to the popular town of Hunstville
